VideoCamp SF is a "hyperlocal" event to be held in early 2010. By bringing seasoned web video creators together with people who are seasoned in "something else", we intend to train and develop various communities and individuals in utilizing the "Best Practices in Online Video" to help them excel in whatever "something else" they are up to. From understanding how to document the world, to how to get their Big Idea onto the web, VideoCampSF will help participants focus and achieve their online video goals.
VideoCamp SF is comprised of three elements:
And there's two ways to participate:

The Best Practices in Online Video event is open to all "Full-Timer" participants. When you register, you will be able to choose on of three tracks:
The Newbie Sessions: Led by
specialists in teaching people new to Web Video, the Newbie sessions

videoblog? Have no idea how to upload a video to the web? Haven't got a
clue how to shoot a web-friendly video? Then the Newbie Sessions are
just for you.
By the time VideoCampSF Ends, Newbie Session Participants should be able to:
The Artist Sessions: You already know how to make and upload
a Web Video, but now you want to make a music video for your band, show
off your ninja editing skills or promote your creative exploits. The
Artist Sessions will show you how to do that and much more.
By the time VideoCamp SF Ends, Artist Session Participants should be able to:
The Advocate Sessions: You
support a cause or want to create a social issues documentary and have
some knowledge in Web Video, but need help refining your skills and
making videos that truly cause change. The Advocate Sessions will
empower you to create Web Videos that do the greatest good for your
community and your world.
By the time VideoCamp SF Ends, Advocate Session Participants should be able to:
All
participants in the Best Practices in Online Video classroom sessions
will be working in teams with their classmates and Track Leaders to
create a Web Video project for the Day 2 Practicum. Participants will crawl all over San Francisco shooting, editing
and uploading a project. Once your project complete, the final products
will be displayed on VideoCamp SF's Video Vault for the world to see!
